Moments that ruined your /tv/ childhood
>>84130062
Why exactly?
>>84130100
It was fucking terrifying.
>>84130115
thats why it was PG-13 anon :^)
*sskkrrrrrreeeennk*
>>84130115
Unexpected too. Nobody expected sweet old Bilbo would turn into that.
>>84130217
>Talos
>>84130658
Get outta here kid
>>84130419
stahp
>>84130677
ay, that game is older than most of the kids on here
>>84130683
stop giving him (you)s then, schmuck
>>84130698
and considerably less old than that movie
>>84130062
I don't remember the exact episode, but it was X-Files, and there was some mud monster from a bog or something. I remember them hiding in a wooden cabin, in a closet, and this mud monster walking in etc. I couldn't sleep for a month.
>>84130742
The movie is considerably less old than the myth.
I was like 5. The fact that you couldn't see whatever it was in the cage but it lifted a grown man right up into the air like he was nothing and the general chaotic editing freaked me out.

>>84130754
The one shot in "cops" style with the monster that turned into what you were afraid of.
I spent weeks thinking, in bed at nights, how could it kill me if I got afraid of something specific.
>>84130217
Source?
>>84130754
this guy??
>>84130892

I was afraid I was going to be abducted by aliens until I was 11 or 12 thanks to x-files and fire in the sky. It gave me many restless nights and frightened terrified me so much that I'd sleep on the floor in my parents room sometimes
>>84130902
i think he's talking about the ubermensch, the dirt monster that came out of that guy's garden? could be several glop monsters on that show though
>>84130936
Wow I have actually seen this movie, I had forgotten. It must have been at least twenty years ago. I should go back and watch it again. The stop motion effects look good.
>>84130892
Jason & the Argonauts, 1963. Very famous for its fighting skeletons scene done by Ray Harryhausen in stop motion animation.
>>84130975
YES THIS I googled that shit and that's the monster, it was from Arcadia episode.
>>84130902

Poor kiddo.
>>84130463
Fuck those things were chilling.
>>84130372
This was the bane of my childhood.
>>84131496
Guess the therapy didn't work.
House on haunted hill,I was only 13..
>>84130463
The movie was NOT for kids. Had nightmares about Jack for weeks.
>>84130463
>>84131739
This scene is absurdly unsuitable for kids.
this spooked me pretty good as a kid for whatever reason
Willy Wonka boat ride scene
>>84130217
>Talos
That isn't a statue of Achilles?
>>84132672
No.
>>84132691
But it literally dies by removing a plate on the heel.
>>84130463
What specifically is so creepy about this? And I agree it's creepy, but why?
>>84132798
I have no idea, they just are freaky somehow. Something about their super long four legs, the creepy masks, the crazy laughing, it all makes a freaky package.
>>84131181
Pussy. Nothing about that film was spooky.
>>84132767
Still not Achilles faggot.
It was really cool:
https://youtu.be/fKQaxV6IXks
>>84132969
I didn't say it was Achilles, I said it was a statue of Achilles.
>>84133063
Yeah but it's not. It's a statue for talos.
>>84133108
>For Talos
Talos is the statue.
>>84133216
You knew what I meant faggot
>>84133306
I can make a statue of myself, but I can also name the statue Gunther.
See what I mean? It can be a statue in the likeness of Achilles, but have its own name as a separate entity, which would be Talos.

>they taught us about Hiroshima in like third grade
>I still didn't understand the whole concept of nukes until I saw this
>>84133397
But it's not faggot, Talos was created before achilles was born. And Peleus, Achilles father was with jason on his voyage.
This whole movie creeped me the fuck out, this scene in particular:

Perhaps an inherited fear of more primitive hominids that were more quadrupedal but still smart enough to be dangerous predators (of us).
Or the fact it's a human-shape moving in a "wrong" way might mean the fear response is not supposed to be for that guy: it's for the beast that fucked up his shit and forced him to have to move in a contorted way.
>>84130062
>Americans childs never had to watch Telechat on their TV.
Your opinions are irrelevant, you don't really know what fucked up means.

See KITT car from Knight Rider in person when it came to a local mall in the 1983.
..and discovering the dash displays actually didn't work. :-(
Stopped watching show after first season.
>>84133934
That was just a stunt double car. The real KITT's displays not only work: he can talk too.
this whole show was pure nightmare fuel
