>season finale
>literally nothing happens until a cliffhanger ending

I don't know why I was expecting anything else.
>>
>>84116211
It would unironically be better as an episodic case-of-the-week show with Saul's wacky lawyer antics. There could be an underrunning plotline of getting involved with the cartels too.
>>
>>84116238

This is pretty much what I hoped it would be.
>>
>Jimmy's character develops heavily
>Kim's character develops heavily
>Hamlin's character makes a move against Chuck
>We gain insight into Gus's relationship with the old man
>Set up for Nacho and his family
>Salamanca's character develops heavily
>Jimmy's entire status quo shifts
>Chuck goes totally insane, plots revenge on Jimmy by fucking killing himself

Yeah, Anon, nothing happened.
>>
>Gustavo feeling sorry when Tuco has heart attack

Jumped the shark. They were enemies in Breking Bad.
>>
>>84116301
Jimmy's character has not changed at all from Season 1. Not sure how you're implying Kim has changed either. I liked the Hamlin stuff these past two episodes, but they're undeniably filler and will never satisfy me due to being so heavily disconnected from the main plot. That also goes for the cartel plotlines.

It just feels like it's not going anywhere (because it isn't).

I bet you also consider a random car accident "stuff happening," even though that's the definition of a shitty filler plot.
>>
This show would've been better with Fargo's tone.
>>
>>84116211

You're dumb as fuck, nigga.
>>
>>84116350
I love this meme
>>
>>84116363
>Jimmy's character has not changed at all from Season 1
Are you kidding me? He is slowly reverting back to a swindling con artist, but the morality check provided by an unknowing Kim is keeping in line. The dude is constantly changing. It may not be some huge profound thing, but he's been wrestling with his identity for the duration of the series.

>Not sure how you're implying Kim has changed either.
They literally show her character changing in this episode. You must have been checking Reddit when it happened.

>I liked the Hamlin stuff these past two episodes, but they're undeniably filler and will never satisfy me due to being so heavily disconnected from the main plot.
Yeah, so disconnected that Hamlin's actions in this episode lead to Chuck killing himself.

>That also goes for the cartel plotlines.
You mean the cartel plotlines that almost never cross with Jimmy's plot?

>I bet you also consider a random car accident "stuff happening," even though that's the definition of a shitty filler plot.
A major shift in a character's philosophy on life is a 'filler plot'?

I'm sorry that this show isn't 'action packed' enough for you, but you're just spouting bullshit.
>>
Would Chuck die if we got tased?
>>
>>84116497
Regarding Jimmy: By constantly changing you mean constantly taking a step forward, then a step back, ad ad nauseam. If the destination is the same as the start, it ain't character development. He's the same as he was in Season 1.

>Kim gets in a car accident and decides not to work as hard afterwards
>this is character development
jesus christ

And I can't believe you're actually going for the "lelele sorry not enough explosions :^)" line. Your show is a meandering shit pile that people are dropping left and right, get over it. I watch plenty of slow character dramas, the difference is those are good and BCS isn't.
>>
>>84116588

It would be very painful
>>
>>84116363

Dunno, I think he's starting to get stressed out and is making mistakes, like when he forgot to turn off the headset mic when talking to Erin regarding his true feelings about the old folks.
>>
>>84116637
Jimmy's stagnancy is literally a plot point in this episode. There's a huge conversation about it in the very episode you're criticizing.

I'm not sure if you're trolling or what, but Kim deciding to ease her workload - and cancel a case she was freaking out over just days ago - is a pretty big jump in her character. It's something Jimmy's been wanting her to do for the duration of the series, and we see that she's not so unlike Jimmy when she does slip occasionally from her heavy workload.

>I watch plenty of shows like this, Anon :^)
Yeah, okay
>>
Better than nothing happening until Chuck secretly records a conversation at least.

>BCS finale
>Chuck wordlessly searches his house for electricity for 30 minutes
>>
>>84116881
Why was he so paranoid about electricity and why did he smash the meter? Did he think the electric company was screwing him something? Didn't make too much sense imo
>>
>>84116881
I look forward to BCS turning into an Odd Couple: Lawyers Editions when Chuck is forced to move in with Jimmy with his house gone.
>>
>>84116728
He did that on purpose. He felt bad about ruining Irene's life and wanted to prove Chuck wrong, so he set that up to help her and burn bridges.

Even his conversation with Erin implied she was in on it.
>>
>>84116941
it's like he's crazy or something...
>>
>>84116941
He got sick of pretending like he was feeling okay and wanted his disease out of his life. Since he couldn't remove it from himself, he decided to just remove it entirely.

Realizing that his law practice was done and would likely enter ruin in the near future, he went totally insane. Once he realized his goals were unreachable, he decided to fuck over Jimmy and kill himself.

Him smashing the meter is just him realizing the futility of him ever severing his condition.

>>
>>84119978
He has enough of a conscience for the Irene and Kim stuff to make him feel guilty about what happened between them, and realize Chuck is maybe right about him to a degree. It's just that Jimmy is too bullheaded to go all the way in admitting guilt and trying to change, and Chuck is too bullheaded to forgive Jimmy and believe he's even capable of change.

>>
>>84123532
I know but I thought he would find away around it. It seems highly unlikely that he would give up all that money just because of the feelings of an old woman.
>>
>>84123532
He didn't forget. The whole thing was a set up.
>>
>>84123441
The settlement wasn't cancelled, the old broads just didn't accept the current offer yet like Jimmy originally wanted. They are going to hold out for a better offer like their lawyers wanted so Jimmy will get his money much later - but he will still get it.
>>
>>84123691
We have to remember that Jimmy still wants to be a good person. Saul is an evil person but he is still capable of feeling guilt and he is also a loyal, generous, and unfaltering individual. Saul could have sold out Walt at any time and had great reason to but he didn't.

Saul would care about that old woman. As Mike would put it, she wasn't in the game. The key difference between Irene and everyone else Jimmy/Saul fucks over is that Irene never ever did anything bad to him.

I would dare say at this moment Howard hasn't done anything bad to Jimmy that would merit retribution. Everything Howard did to Jimmy was driven by Chuck.

Technically he wins either way, but he had to drop his ambitions of using the settlement money in the near future to pay his share of the office with Kim. >Hamlin plot is filler
>Cartel plotlines are disconnected from the main plot
You are an absolute moron.
Hamlin plot leads to Chuck killing himself, which will almost certainly have a big effect on the direction of the main plot.
The main plot follows Jimmy and also follows the old man (but to a lesser degree). You'll recall this show is about Jimmy. You'll recall Jimmy eventually makes a connection with Gus and the old man.

If you don't like the show, fine, but calling stuff like that filler is simply not true. I think you're just an idiot who can't follow the show, though.

I don't think he planned it at all. I think he sat down, exhausted, after tearing apart his house. After potentially hours of sitting there, thinking about how he had nothing to live for, he just reached out and pushed and knocked the lantern down out of of apathy.

He doesn't care what burning alive feels like; it's probably what he feels every day. He didn't think about loved ones: he has none. He just realized he has no reason not to, so he did.

Why would they end 2 seasons with chuck being fake dead? This time he's dead for sure
>>
>>84117757
honestly 100% accurate
>>
Chuck's suicide, which will look like an accidental death brought on by sudden relapse in the other characters' perspectives, is what is going to drive a wedge between Kim and Jimmy. She's already feeling remorse for having helped Jimmy humiliate him in court. Jimmy will try to convince her that Chuck was in the wrong and its nobody's fault but his, and that's what will set her off and tell Jimmy to grow the fuck up and play by the rules like everyone else.
>>
>>84125885
I want to believe that Kim and Jimmy live happily ever after and we just never saw Kim in Breaking Bad.

How could you possibly think one season ended in him "fake dying"?
>>
What caused the meter to go up was a secret fire sprinkler that Mike planted when he fixed the door. Mike being the all-knowing badass that he is knew that Chuck would try to kill himself later on so he planted a sprinkler that would distinguish the fire. Chuck is still alive guys.

You know, I could actually buy that Jimmy convinced Mike to install a sprinkler system because the house was a fire hazard (per the photos Jimmy had Mike take for the bar hearing) as long as they made a passing mention of it back around the time Mike was fixing the door, but doing it now would feel like an asspull they thought up between seasons. Either way, as cheap as it would be, I couldn't help but feel all warm and fuzzy inside seeing Chuck laying back and awaiting death in the season 4 premier only to be saved by Jimmy's scheming. That'd give Chuck a lot to think about for sure.

Putting up a front. It works double. It makes him seem sympathetic to Tios life (hey look the first guy to step in and do something, also suggested calling 911) and also he doesn't want him dead, yet.
He has explicitly said he can't have Tio dying yet. Gus doesn't just do out of the blue shit and kill people for no reason and out in the open like that. He wants to keep him alive until the time is right and he can properly make his move.

Kim is an independant woman who don't need no man (done right, i.e. her personality, not a walking stronk meme).

She many times refused help from Jimmy because she thought she could handle her own stuff. Cooking would be a pain with 1 arm so she let Jimmy do it for her, but for anything she can do herself, she will, even if it's gonna be harder than having Jimmy help.

Hell she ALMOST kept working on her 2 jobs while injured (that she couldn't even manage at full health). She just doesn't want to accept help, unless she absolutely need it. She want to handle herself.

Just like she offered Jimmy to pay his half for a while, but if Jimmy had offered the same now she would surely refuse him.

New season is going to be very interesting. Without Chuck the entire dynamic of the show is going to change. Howard is probably going to become a minor character as well, so it will basically just be Jimmy / Kim, Nacho and Mike / Gus. Strange that Mike wasn't in the finale at all too, I expected him to pop up at least for a short scene but I guess they didn't have time to write him into the ep.

I think this show can easily go on for two more seasons at the very least, with next season being Jimmy actually being Saul for most of the season, and season 5 being during the Breaking Bad timeframe / in the future with Jimmy working at the Cinnabon to wrap up his story completely.

The show is in no way getting cancelled. Ratings are pretty stable, and great for its timeslot. It's the best rated show airing in that slow on Monday on cable.

Also, it's an award-winning series, I guarantee it will be nominated in many categories for this season, including Michael McKean who will definitely be nominated for his performances this season. I can see Odenkirk getting a nom as well, the writing will probably get a few nominations too.

AMC is not going to cancel a show that is this well received, has a decent following and is winning a lot of awards.

There's a big difference between leaving the firm and Howard basically saying "I'm done with you..." which is far more personal. The money coming from Howard himself and not the firm is another way of just reinforcing how badly Hamlin wants to rid himself of Chuck's bullshit.

Some people you just can't help, and Chuck pushed basically everyone past the point of them even wanting to help a long time prior. Howard wanted him gone and was willing to basically fork over a fuckton of cash to make it happen even if it breaks him personally.

Chuck finally understood that as Howard handed him that check, and that was that.

paying Chuck off with his own personal funds was the ultimate checkmate move on Howard's part.
Chuck really thought he had painted the firm into a corner because he knew they didn't want to go to court, and tthey didn't have the money to pay him off.
Howard Paying Chuck off with his own personal funds First of all , utterly annihilated all of his strategies. And secondly demonstrated to Chuck that Howard absolutely 100% was done with him.

he played it really smart with his "send off" because there's no way chuck wanted to make a fool of himself again like at the law hearing

I think the "You've never really mattered that much to me" is the biggest lie Chuck ever told. It was always about Jimmy, and of course he was saying that to hurt Jimmy. He even killed himself to hurt Jimmy. That's how much Jimmy mattered to Chuck.
And his "why feel remorse?" line made something click for me. Chuck was also a dirty schemer like Jimmy, just in a way that was more careful, more meticulous, and more legal. And he never let himself feel remorse for any of it. Remorse is for people who've done something wrong, and that would conflict with Chuck's self-image that he's always the good one. Remorse is painful. And when that emotional pain was repressed, it manifested as physical pain instead.
That's where the supposed electromagnetic sensitivity comes from. I'd need to go back and look for more examples to confirm, but in recent weeks when Chuck was leaving Jimmy alone and focusing on self-improvement, he was making steady improvment and feeling less pain. Then when he deliberately tried to hurt his brother in the worst way possible, the electromagnetic sensitivity came roaring back more painful than ever.

sounds like you're making excuses. stop fapping for a few weeks, read some books and work out, also you should be laying 5 bricks a day, that means finding 5 different women to hit on and get rejected by... enjoy the experience and eventually you'll find someone

I am a wizard and I have a healthier POV than you.

Look into "locus of control."

Look up "learned helplessness."

Irene's friends are retarded though, for falling for Jimmy's scheme in the first place
