it went terrible after the first season, 1st season was serious - was following the struggle to bring light to a dark universe, to rebuild the commonwealth

then by the 2nd season the commonwealth is rebuild, space interdimensional ninjas, other seasons the whore is a sun he is a special breed of alien species , it just goes insane & becomes insanely boring

interesting premise, destroyed after the 1st season, after that its just hercules in space

Sorbo pulled rank and had the head writer fired then told the remaining writers that the stories were too complex for him to understand and to make it more like Hercules...in Space. They did so.

Season one and the first half of season two are really solid. But after that Kevin Sorbo got the showrunner fired, and they switched from overarching story to monster of the week nonsense. So essentially Sorbo fucking ruined the show by being to stupid to understand it. It's tragic because the first season and a half is genuinely fantastic. Tyr is a fantastic character.
