What was the first big boy movie /tv/ watched?
As if I'd remember that shit.
Still love it. Still one of my favourites. Still think it should have sweep all prizes back in 08

either jurassic park, terminator 2, or jaws. can't remember which one i saw first. i was about 3 or 4 for all of them.

Jurassic Park is definitely a kids/family movie.

Jaws is the only one that's non-family oriented.

Not a bad one, Anon.
The Patriot with Mel Gibson was the first really violent movie that I watched.

i guess gennero and nedry getting eaten is family friendly.

They aren't very violent movies in reality though, and have some humor (well I don't know about Jaws but definitely Jurrasic Park)
English man here.
The Matrix was the first 15 I saw.
Blade II was the first 18 I saw.
I still don't understand America and their M R U XXXL MR ratings. "That one means you have to be 14 and a half with a guardian who is not your immediate relative, and that one is you have to be just 14 as long as it's with a parent. And that one means only pistols allowed, no long barreled rifles."

Land of The Free, where violence in media is considered okay for kids but nudity is an absolute no-no.

you can see any movie in the states as long as you have a parent or guardian. i saw saving private ryan in theaters when i was 9 with my folks. the only rating is strictly age enforced is nc-17 which you don't typically see in theaters.

Public sex is more degenerate than violence as the Republican Romans, Imperial Brits, revolutionary Americans, Prussians and many more knew

In my experience. Realistically, when in the Cinema, if you're 12, and with your parents, and going to see a 15, no one will give a shit if you're not being bait about it. Same for 18 but bump it up to being 15.
We have U (Universal), PG (Parental Guidance- U but parents beware there will be a little action, maybe some innuendo etc), 12A (No one under 12 without parent or guardian), 15 (No one under 15) and 18.
LOTR. Still watch it every year.
Demolition man.

James Bond was fairly mature and most brit kids probably watch that when they are 6 if not younger. Used to stay up watching horror and all sorts, it goes over your head when you are a kid since it's just a frightening story rather than relatable. Rape for instance is scarier when you understand what it is and why it is a violation.
Gladiator. My dad watched it first then told me I could watch it with him.
