Why are there no Iconic movies/franchises being made anymore?

Because film is reaching the point where pretty much every story that exists has been told. Everything has been done. Just like music. All we can do now is do the same thing but mix it up or improve it so it's a little different. There's no big untold story that's going to be totally different from anything we've seen, they just don't exist. Human experience is finite.

Good movies aren't as profitable anymore. (((Hollywood))) has found a winning formula and are going to stick to it. They don't even have to make movies for english speaking audiences anymore because complete garbage makes big bucks in China and Asia

Everything is made by a committee now based on data of what sells. There is no personality to it, it's all formulas.

It's basically like if you had an AI churning out movies. That's capitalism for you, it will only get worse and eventually it really will be an AI creating movies.
