This. What were they even trying to achieve? Half of it's like they wanted it to be funny but a good portion of the humour was pulled straight from the book which just didn't work in the format of the film (I swear if i see a 'blank pages' joke when they fall down the shaft in Ersatz Elevator I will lose my shit). And that (as well as the music numbers) drains the movie when it tries to be serious. The one with Jim Carrey as Olaf was great, I was hoping the new series would play more heavily on the books murder mystery/cryptic problem solving side. And if it had a humour at all I was hoping it'd be more sarcastic or gallows-humour.

I want to touch Malina Weissman in a strictly platonic and friendly manner that is comfortable for both her and me. That is in all sense of the word not at all creepy.
