Yeah I was pleasantly surprised. I had no real expectations but it was fun, and didn't take itself too seriously, like Godzilla did. This is how the 'Zilla-verse should be, weird and fun like the old ones, but obviously with effects that don't suck. Hopefully they carry this tone into the upcoming movies.
