This and X Files were the two shows I just couldn't watch as a kid. Unfortunately they only show unsolved mysteries on tv with that other guy instead of the original host

this show had the most unsettling music mixed with the dude's voice. he could be talking about anything and it would be creepy.

freaked me out as a kid but i still couldn't stop watching it. any supernatural episode and it was a wrap. i wasn't sleeping that night.

I don't care how cheesy these show seems now, it's still spooky as fuck. That music + Robert Stack showing up in a trenchcoat in like steamy alley + his haunting narration, and any story can be scary.

When Robert Stack came on screen, you knew he meant business. He was the buffer between you and another reality. I still have trouble watching this show.

First 5 seasons!! They released season 5 a few weeks ago! They were coming out monthly until recently.

I am a total shill for Amazon Prime. I order enough to where it worth it (70-80% of my Christmas shopping) Amazon music is my new fav music app, so much content, full albums, no ads, and countless stations and playlists. And of course, the Amazon streaming. Old school HBO stuff, some good shows that I enjoy, but with the addition of the Original Stack Unsolved Mystery episodes WITH current updates, ALL OF MY FUCK YES.
STACK IS MOTHEFUCKING BACK.

When I watched that as a kid who believed in alien abductions, I could see the conviction in those guys' eyes as they told their story. I 100% believed them. They had an episode from my small hometown about this college chick who was gutted in her apartment. The prime suspect was the landlord who happened to be my friends uncle who I had met a few times. They showed him peeking in her window when she was taking a shower and walking in on her multiple times with his tools in his hands pretending like he didn't know she was home in the re-enactment. Really damning shit. Can't imagine having yourself be re-enacted playing a murder suspect in a high profile TV show like that.

Turns out she was raped and killed by some random guy
>>
>>84084435
There are a few like that where UM portrayed someone as "obviously guilty" in the reenactment and it turns out they really didn't do it. For a show that went on as long as it did with as many cases as they reenacted thankfully the number of times that happened is pretty low.
>>
Why are there no torrents of the five updated Amazon seasons of UM? I'd expect they'd be ULd asap. I have scraps of all OG seasons on Plex, but damn, need.

2014 report from Sparks and Honey describes Generation Z as those born in 1995 or later.[27] Author Jean Twenge describes the iGen as those born after 1995.[28][29]
In their 2011 book How Cool Brands Stay Hot, authors Joeri van den Bergh and Mattias Behrer define Generation Z as those born after 1996.[30] In Japan, generations are defined by a ten-year span with "Neo-Digital natives" beginning after 1996.[20][21]
The Futures Company,[17][18] marketing agency Frank N. Magid Associates,[13] Ernst and Young,[31] Turner Broadcasting,[32] and The Shand Group[33] use 1997 as the first year of birth for this cohort, with Frank N. Magid considering the cohort to extend to at least 2014.[13]
A 2016 report from multinational banking firm Goldman Sachs describes Generation Z as those born since 1998

I don't get what you're asking me.

They can't even make up their minds.

Gen Z starting year is 2000. People can pretend it's earlier, but they're lying to themselves.

why? culturally nothing happened in the year 2000 to make that distinction. there are two major factors that affect the generational change
>9/11 and unending war time contrasted to peaceful post cold war 90's
>internet/social networking being a factor in childhood development

this has happened to kids born in 98-99 and later, because even somebody born in 96 or 97 will have some memories before 9/11, would probably remember 9/11, and would have been 10-12 before they ever heard of facebook and when the iphone came out changing access to the internet forever

My favorite show like this was, I think it was called, Fact or Fiction. They would reenact a series of weird and unusual stories and allow the home audience to guess which ones were fact and which ones were fiction, and at the end of the show, they'd do the reveal. But most of these stories were about supernatural events, and they'd presumably be labeled as "fact" purely on the strength of some random person's testimony (I don't think they ever explained how they determined that, for example, an encounter with a ghost or a grey alien actually happened). The funny thing is there was never any difference between the stories that were made up by the producers and the stories that were made up by the people who sent these stories in or however they did it, so if you wanted to guess which ones were "real", it was literally just like flipping a coin because they were all equally implausible, although you could sort of guess based on stuff having less to do with the stories themselves as the patterns of the show.

It is, but it is really more exciting than anything.
