The episode starts off with some time passing after he died, and a character's voice over saying "Everyone wants to talk about how he died, but I'd rather talk about how he lived" and that's the closest one of the characters ever went to discussing how he passed. They just never disclosed it, its a mystery to the audience

This show feels like an early day "We must be as inclusive as possible" thing that shows try to shove in today. Obviously it wasn't the first, but its the first I can thing of where they felt the need to shove in every race along with gay's and the disabled as main characters.

Also makes me lel how despite this the Asian male still had no lines in the first season.
