I have dvds of South Park, Seinfeld and The Simpsons nest to my dvd player so when I wake up an hour or so early, like I do every morning, I can pop something comfy in to get me back to sleep. Been doing it for years - works every time.

As a side note, The Simpsons' theme music can wake me up, so I do favour Seinfeld and South Park.

I actually can't sleep with tv on because the slightest sound irritates me. I've done it only when I'm really tired but I've fallen asleep to The Sopranos before.
