I know I'm probably late to the party but this was an extremely solid piece of cinema.
But what is the reaction from your typical, moronic horror fan?
>WHERE IS DUH MONSTER?
>NO THING JUMP AT SCREEN AND GO BOO ME NO SCARE
>DUH MOVIE WUZ CONFOOZING
>DEH DIDNT EXPLAIN ANYTHING
>ENDING WAS SO POINTLESS
How in the world do people find stories about fake monsters more horrifying than what happens in this movie? Also, whoever tried to market this movie as some standard, shallow, summer horror movie deserves to be shot.

I didn't like it very much because I didn't think the characters or dialogue were good, specifically the son. I also thought the ending could have been more satisfying without explaining anything or ruining the mystery.
I thought the direction and production design were excellent, though. Great minimalist approach.
Did you have any specific comments about the film or are you just here to shit on people who saw the trailer and assumed it was a horror movie?

My wife's son: The Movie
What happened is the trailers made it look like a fast-paced zombie flick so idiots went to see it and now they're raging that they got a masterfully made slowburn film instead of a dumb action-packed gorefest It's funny how misleading marketing has turned this film into a top notch pleb filter.

I wasn't expecting to see anything to be honest, and I was fine with the conceit of it just being a disease film
But the movie doesn't have a single thing to say about anything - it's just a well shot drama/thriller and kinda sucks
What's the movie about?

Disease and death (so deep)
