I despise the "staring out windows with dull expression" aesthetic. It has an air of empty pretension that unnerves me to the core.

There is nothing real or relative of the human condition to it. It takes no skill or craft. This is what makes Griffeth a colossus. He could balance introspection with comedy and tragedy and near plotlessness all in a perfect tune with a mastery of all techniques he pioneered. Griffeth is the window to life.
