what is this odd comfy vibe i feel when i watch steven spielberg movies? everything seems so quaint and simple despite the incredible things happening in the movies.

i don't think it's nostalgia because i wasn't even alive when most of these movies came out, and some I didn't watch until i was an adult. also, his movie range from the 70s, 80s and 90s, so i don't think it's because they're old.

i can't quite put my finger on it. anyone else know this feeling?

yea but hes totally lost it over the last two decades or so, and i think all his sci-fi is overrated

i get that feeling youre talking about the most with raiders and empire of the sun, oddly.. and bttf even tho that was zemeckis

everything after jurassic park feels like it was made by someone else, the magic just isnt there anymore even if some of them are still good movies
