went to see April and the Extraordinary World but the projectionist forgot to turn on the subtitles. also i was completely alone in the theater so there was no one else to let him know and i felt too awkward so i watched the whole movie in french (it's a cartoon so it's not too difficult to get the plot), and when it finished, the guy came in and was like "fuuuuck", then he looked at me and asked me if i know french and i said no, but it's okay, and he said "fuuuuuck" again and apologized.

dad came out with me and took me home and when my sister came back she told me basically when i got out the movie got extremely cool, filled with guns, fighting and explosions and i was extremely bummed.

Went to see Rogue One. There weren't two seats adjacent, so gf and me had to sit separate. I wedged in between two obese literal neckbeards who looked like they just walked out of r/atheism. One of them played some clicker game on his phone the whole time so it was constant flashing lights right in the corner of my eye. Gave the film a 0/10 on imdb as soon as I got home.

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale. It was the worst movie I've ever seen in theater. My friend chose the movie and I remember just being angry at how fucking garbage it was.

I was going to see quantum of solace with my family for my birthday (teenager at the time) because I liked Casino Royale, but my two female cousins were in town and my mother told me that they wanted to see a vampire movie instead. It didn't even occur to me to switch seats with them since I was even more autistic back then and I think the movie already started so I couldn't sort that out in the pre-movie casual time.

Threads like these are why I try to go mid-day midweek and hope to get the theater to myself. Usually it's a handful of other people, and sometimes I've been the only soul in a very big room. Usually seeing something the next week or the week after that means no crowd at all.
