Not really. As long as you remember the basics about Rocky vs Apollo and then the two of them becoming friends, nothing in Rocky IV should confuse you. It's not a very complex movie, just a straightforward fight movie with a "lets all hold hands and be peaceful" message at the end.

Neat, I didn't know that. If I remember correctly the actor who plays Drago is from Sweden.
