Vaguely. They bog it down with an excess of emotional bullshit in the 2nd half, but the general vibe and monster design is very reminiscent of gothic horror.

A LOT of /tv/ anons had it advertised as some horror masterpiece when it's really just a nice attempt at a non-traditional horror piece.
