What was your opinion on the ending?
I think it's absolute garbage.
In season 2 and season 3 Kevin and his magical powers were somewhat of a focal point. Which is why it's kind of retarded that the final episode focused primarily on a supporting character and completely neglected the one thing that the show was building up for the last 2 seasons.
I don't care if Nora visited the other world or not. In fact, I think they should have scrapped the idea of ever telling us what happened to the departed. It was made clear from the start that this show will be about the characters and not the mysteries. However, I feel like one of the main characters not being able to die is kind of a big fucking deal to just skim over.
Also, fast forwarding to the future was a huge mistake that ruined the pacing of the show greatly.
I understand the message in the end was to be in the here and now. That Kevin doesn't care if Nora is telling the truth or not, he just cares about the time they have left together.
But they could have done this in current times without a retarded pace ruining fast forward that focused on a supporting character who has been a hermit for years.
tl;dr Damon Lindelof can make great shows but he can't finish them well

He could die after he blew up his "purgatory" though. His "magic" powers were dealt with and finished in Episode 7 when he decides to stop running from his issues, nuke "purgatory" and find Nora.
Every finale was about Kevin and Nora finding their way back to each other after all the shit they had to go through.
a show that was up front about how it wasn't going to go anywhere, went nowhere, and ended
heres to hoping we can finally put this lindelof maymay to bed
I liked the ending, it was a cute ending to an otherwise pretty depressing show, which was a surprise to me.
I really loved the Jesus Kevin story line, but I felt that if we had a definitive answer, it would ruin the mystique and allure of the very plot. We cant ever really have a certain answer as to why Kevin kept living, or if he really had a purpose, or if any of it was real. After all, he never really gave concrete answers to any of the questions the people had.
I think we got the best ending out of a show like the Leftovers. I hope Damon gets more work so we can see more stuff like this.
We should have gotten ten episodes

this. season 3 felt very rushed and disconnected compared to the first 2
