This would be pretty cool. I do hope they get an experimental filmmaker though because some of the events and characters lean more toward the abstract if you catch my meaning.

Whoa, slow down there buddy. There are at least 7-8 films in there. "The" Silmarillion? lol? As in just one film? No, no, no, there's just too much to be mined there. I'm thinking 10-12 movies or even 14-20 flicks. Maybe even a 50-season premium service show.

i think there's a south korean telenovelasoap based on it already. don't know the name but saw a promo clip on tv where there's this longwhitehair guy with pointed ears (he looks like the elves in lotr) who falls in love with mortal girl.

Recently watched Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy. It would have been great.

Instead we got so much retarded filler and melodramatic shlock because "That's how the Lord of the Rings went! A book for mature adults! And The Hobbit, a book for literal baby children, must be like that too!
