Just watched True Detective season 1 for the forth time. God what I would give for a television experience like that again. From the writing, the performances, the cinematography to the discussing all of our insane theories online. I would consider it the perfect show. At least for me personally. I keep waiting and waiting for something to come along and rival it. Twin Peaks is off to a great start, so hopefully it can.

Try Quarry.
I watched TD twice. Too soon to watch it a 3rd, although I will at some point.
My only fault with it is the "bad guy". He was shit imo. The season deserved a better villian.

About half as good, but that's still pretty good. Better than The Left Behinds or season 2 of TD.
