Next ep is called "That's a body..." or something, so would make sense.
Just watched last episode and I'm not sure I understand what was the deal with the drawings nor the car accident.
Wasn't the latter at the exact same place Laura and Leland met with Mike in FWWM? Was it orchestrated by one of the lodges since what seems like the kid's souls goes up and the guy from the trailer park in FWWM says "God"?

>>83975089
I've heard people say that the accident might have been orchestrated because there's an imbalance since not-Coop and Coop are both outside the Lodge. The soul going into the power lines makes it seem that way.
The drawings on the insurance forms let the boss know that the other guy is committing fraud.
>>83974144
HellloooOOOOOo-ooOOOooo
>>83975089
>Wasn't the latter at the exact same place Laura and Leland met with Mike in FWWM?
Yes. That place is likely just a hotspot for the Lodge spirits, considering all the electrical wires above the junction.
>what was the deal with the drawings
Dougie was highlighting some insurance fraud being carried out by one of the other insurance workers by highlighting the frequency that his name and the name of a single other officer appeared in the paperwork.
>>83975089
Did you hear any WHOOPS this time as in whoops that ass fucking hurts like when The Arm makes sounds? That pole used to whoop. Does it make the sounds that the Evolution of the Arm makes now? Did it make any sounds like it makes now when that kid got smacked? Because the electrical wires certainly did, and did so when Richard parked in the field after also. Arm sounds again? If not Arm sounds then not Arm. Because otherwise that pole and those wires and shit at that spot make Arm sounds.
>>83975133
>fatties getting BTFO
I was worried when I first saw her but it seems like based Lynch is going to btfo fatties once again
>>83975137

>>83975137
>The drawings on the insurance forms let the boss know that the other guy is committing fraud.
The guy whom Coop said was a liar?
Also what's the trailer park guy got to do with anything? I remember the guy from FWWM but not the context in which he appears.
>James has always been cool
>Everybody loves Steven
What did they mean by this?
>>83975222
He could see Mrs. Choate and her grandson at least
>>83975222
Yes, that one. Anthony Sinclair, as credited.
>>83975173
The "whoops" that you're talking about is meant to be the sound of electricity buzzing. So yeah, they're supposed to be similar but it's the arm that sounds like the electricity, not the other way around.
>>83975222
Yeah, the guy he called a liar.
And Carl doesn't have a concrete purpose in the new season yet. He owns the trailer park (though I think it's a new trailer park) but he's just had this most recent scene and doesn't fit into an overall story yet.
The trailer park does have the Linda that the giant was talkin gabout though.
>>83975222
>The guy whom Coop said was a liar?
Presumably, yes.
>Also what's the trailer park guy got to do with anything?
We don't really know. He manages the trailer park where Teresa Banks was murdered, and the power line outside the park seems like it has a strong connection to the lodge. And the old lady / grandson spirits were in the park at the time Banks was killed. Not sure how or if any of that will become relevant.
>>83975268
The "whoops" is Michael J. Anderson making Indian noises with his hand over his mouth. It's the sound MIKE's truck makes when he speeds up and approaches Leland. Start with the series, then FWWM, then The Missing Pieces.

they did the same thing with dougie's creditors. When they try to kill him the first time and when they plant the bomb are completely different actors than in the watson "99%" scene.
what gives?
I know it's basic twin peaks lore but it's pretty confusing.
Mike is a spirit of the lodge who looks exactly like Phillip Gerard and takes him as his host. He severed his arm where there was a tatoo "fire walk with me" when he had his epiphany supposedly cleansing himself of evil which is the arm and manifests itself as the dwarf. Then why does the arm help Cooper in the pilot?

MIKE and his Arm are not benevolent spirits. At the end of the day they are Black Lodge entities. His motivation seems to revolve more about BOB's insubordination and throwing their arrangement out of order. He seeks to obtain either the garmonbozia harvested by BOB, or BOB's own.

DAILY REMINDER
Annie never met Laura
>>83974107
Just finished watching s1, s2, the film and the missing pieces over the last 4 weeks. Few quick thoughts.
How the fuck was that film released the way it was? The jeffries scene makes no sense as is, and they had the shots to fix it. Tonally it's quite different too, and a lot of it just felt... offbeat for the sake of it. I did like just how much lore building it did though. It also made it harder to tell just how how... Much of Leland was left in Leland, and how often he was fronting (if thats the term).
S2 wasn't nearly as bad as I was led to believe and Windom Earle was a great character, though I thought Leo's arc was really quite retarded even for Twin Peaks.
Was there ever any mention of the ring in the series? Big plot point that i simply don't recall.
>>83972300
Oh, the filename had me fooled then. Thanks man!
Also, on the topic of Mike, do you guys think that there's a kind of theological ground when he says that he repented when he saw the face of God or was he just bullshitting to help get Bob? He did cut his arm after all.
>>83975608
I loved this movie, but one of the things I hated was that you couldn't hear what Mike was saying, especially since what he's saying is pretty important (I think?).
Should have at least had subtitles like in the pink room.
>>83975657

>>83976745

I did, but I mean no wonder people hated the movie at first. There's no reason not to tell your audience what your character is saying, and it's not like in 1992 you could just look up a script on the internet.
>>83976944
It's established that he's a spirit like Bob. I guess it's possible the spirit version has adapted Gerard's look after possessing him for so long but I doubt it.
>>83977029

>>83976717
>The jeffries scene makes no sense as is, and they had the shots to fix it
The sense of the scene is not important. The feel of the scene is important. The missing pieces clarifies basically nothing and just stretches out the event for no purpose. The scenes were interesting but tonally pointless.
>offbeat for the sake of it
We will disagree on this point. I'd rather have no FBI scene at all than have the extended cut. At least the extended cut induces the sense of being off-balance indicative of Lodge dealings.
>S2 wasn't nearly as bad as I was led to believe and Windom Earle was a great character, though I thought Leo's arc was really quite retarded even for Twin Peaks.
Leo's literally retarded attempt at redemption in the face of Earle's true (if petty) evil was a nice touch IMO.
I think the important part of the missing pieces were the events that extended Theresa Banks's story. How the Q2 edit put them in was pretty good, too. There was one Donna+Laura scene added that was also good. I think the rest was better left on the cutting room floor.
>>83977082
>Wait, so he took Gerard's body into the lodge?
Yes. It's confirmed you can do that considering Bob in Leland's body went into the Lodge.
>>83977082
>Did Bob have Leland kill Laura just to repay Mike?
He killed Laura because MIKE forced him to. The ring either "weds" the host to MIKE, or prevents BOB from possessing them. More than anything in the world, BOB wished to take control of Laura, but was foiled. The garmonbozia seen at the end of FWWM may not be Laura's or Leland's but BOB's own pain and suffering.
>Why does Mike still care about stopping Bob if his debt is repaid?
It may not be about a debt. BOB was initially MIKE's underling, and following his orders. Then he broke out on his own and began doing whatever he pleased. This may be just MIKE trying to restore the previous balance between them.
>>83977149
>At least the extended cut induces the sense of being off-balance indicative of Lodge dealings.
I mean at least the release cut. The extended cut is too straightforward.

Earlier in the scene Darya also calls that guy and tells him that she received a call from Jeffries and that they had planned to assassinate him
>I got another call from Jeffries.
>You have to hit Cooper if he's
still around tomorrow night.
So Jeffries has turned on Cooper and is planning to kill him, and he may not be human. It's also possible that the mysterious black box in Buenos Aires (behind a drywall) is a communication point for Jeffries.
Why he turns into a metal... no one knows yet.

Wut do?
>>83978992
I think it is Jeffries. he's just confused because the phone call denotes that Jeffries has turned on him ("I just called to say goodbye").
Jeffries seems to contacting different people (Darya, the woman with the blackberry) to assassinate both Dougie and EvilCoop.
While EvilCoop has hired Mulholland Drive guy in Vegas to kill Jeffries' assassins. And he took some of them out himself, too.
It's like a weird spy-vs-spy battle.

Really hope Lynch doesn't abandon this plot, Jeffries is such a vague yet intriguing character. Have a feeling he won't be in human form the next time we see him.Is he the glass box monster?

Most of this is completely wrong. You are really confused, about a lot of stuff.
What do you do with a character that you don't want to kill off because you need them in the future but will be a plot problem if they are kept around with their wits? Easy! You make them retarded!
Lynch does it again!

I'm going on the assumption that EvilCoop is funding Las Vegas guy, in which case he's hiring him to assassinate Dougie.
If Jeffries is the black box contacting blackberry woman or Darya, then he's actively trying to kill Dougie and/or EvilCoop.

EvilCoop is not the billionaire. We still have no idea who the billionaire is. Possibly Audrey.
EvilCoop created Dougie to swap places with Cooper when the 25 years ran out. He knew when this would happen right down to the day. Since he knew when Cooper would be swapping in to the real world, and since he knew where it would happen because he knew where Dougie was he used Lorraine to hire two mean to kill "Dougie" (who would now actually be real Cooper) after the swap took place. If this succeeded then he would be able to remain in the real world indefinitely and Cooper would be dead.
The people who Lorraine hired messed up and didn't kill Cooper, because he was looking for the hotel key in Jade's jeep. So they thought he was still in the house and put a bomb on his car to get him that way instead, which just ended up blowing up car thieves. EvilCoop then used his guy, pic related, to hire the Worlds Angriest Midget to kill Lorraine (for botching the hit) and to finish the job she failed by killing "Dougie" (who is actually Cooper).

So that part with Cooper & Co meeting cheesy villain BOB underneath the hospital actually happened?
>>83979726
Someone is, yeah. But that's unrelated to all the other stuff.
It's all speculation but possibly the billionare (which may be Audrey or maybe someone completely different) may have funded the cube to watch for Cooper because they knew he was trapped in the black lodge. Depending on who Annie told before she was (presumably) killed by EvilCoop any number of people could know this. If they were spending money to look for Cooper then they know the "Cooper" who is in the real world for the last 25 years is the doppleganger. They may not have wanted to kill him before now in case it botched the transfer out. Now that the transfer date is passed it's okay to kill the doppleganger. Who knows how much or any of this is true though.

Evil Coop is using the billionare from mullholand drive to try and stop coop. Initially he used his funds to create the glass box so at the exact moment that the entity in the glass box appears, Coop would appear there and immediately get murdered. Thus Bob would not have to return to the lodge.
The eyeless lady stops this though and he is saved yet again and replaced with dougie, which was also a contingency plan created by Bob in case his plan failed. He is with dougie now and with this information had sent assassins hired by lorraine to kill Coop. She did not kill him in the allotted time so he kills her and this connection is confirmed with the billionare and the envelope.
This means that Coop is now in danger because he knows that the other spirits of the lodge are trying to bring Bob back. Why? Because he has not returned in a long time denying Mike and the man from another place's gargambozia.
This to me is definitely what is happening.
