Chibnall as a viewer of the past few series, grew frustrated at the various incoherent times the show would air and wants a smooth and stable time slot for the show. I hope Chibnall's era has a really nice look. The special effects are fine but the cinematography in Capaldi's era has been mostly lacking. The Great Vampire arc is going to be GOAT.

I aint even mad, admit it guys all these shitty guest writers were messing up the pacing of the series for ages, a couple of great writers is what the show needs. Chibnall proved he can carry an entire series on his own with Broadchurch.

I would take 3 singular well written stories spanning 3 series for the 13th Doctor over dozens of shitty all off the place varied stories anyday. Just look how well the Children of Earth worked for Torchwood versus it's prior series with multiple shitty guest writers.

Am I the only one bothered as all hell by this so-called Master redemption arc?

It makes as much sense as any attempt to turn the Joker good or kill him off for good. Even if the Master is redeemed, I doubt it'll last the long term hence rendering this entire character arc pointless. As long as the villain remains popular they are going to revert to being bad guys in the end and if the current generation of writers won't do that the next ones will because the Master is too good an adversary being recognisable and a match for the Doctor. With the fact that Regeneration exists in this world then it becomes really easy to just kill off Missy and say 'that was the previous personality, this new personality has gone back to being bad.'

The alternative is to create a villain as good as the Master but something tells me that BBC won't do that given Writers have to start from scratch rather then bringing back a known villain from the Classic Series. If they do manage to do that though then all praise to them.

Then I'm guessing the Christmas special will start with the Doctor questioning himself - it'll contrast the start of his run where he was asking if he was a good man, now asking if he's been too good and trusting. Definitely. Even the less loved episodes like the Long Game are still much more memorable than a lot of stuff we get now. Series 1 was really strong though, there's genuinely not an episode I disliked. Even series 5 has some dogdy episodes and that's my favourite series.

Chibnall is always writing a full story from start to finish. With character development. He uses sci-fi setting so that it helps to progress his story. He doesn't need an extremely clever thing to carry his episode - he's just telling a good story.
And the latter is much more important for showrunner who will be responsible for a 12 episodes.
