I don't normally browse /tv/ but I want some opinion on this film, which I haven't been able to stop thinking about since seeing it a week ago.
I love it. It is obviously very difficult, but I don't treat it as a film. I treat each scene individually, synthesize it, and go on to the next. Afterwards I look at it as a whole.
There isn't one scene that doesn't illicit some emotion out of me. Often negative ones... feelings of despair, anxiety, hopelessness, and then there's the Roy Orbison "Crying" montage, which is one of my favorite sequences I've ever watched. It brings such a giddy sense of excitement and hope to such a depraved film, despite the negativity that is inherent to the scene.
What about you guys?
I liked it when I was a little younger. I gave it a review last year and it struck me how Jewish of a movie it was. Looked up the director after and sure enough.
Still a decent bizarre movie.
/pol/ ruined so many things for me

one of my favorites of all time
you know, everybody can make Titanic if they have the money, but this movie could only be done in a very specific time period, ONLY by Harmony Korine, these kind of movies are unique and that's something very beautiful that money can't buy, just look at Kids, it couldn't be done now with cellphones and shit, besides, sjws are fucking insane and ruin everything
auteur cinema is almost dead

oddly i think Gummo is kind of timeless, Xenia being kind of socially isolated enough to never develop yet still be thematically relevant

Interesting. Can you explain me how the film is jewish? I saw it a long time ago and don't really remember.

I assume he just meant the cast and people working behind the scenes were primarily YHWH's chosen

It's fucking disgusting, I don't get why anyone would want to watch it.
