Thoughts on the movie Mirrormask?

Haven't watched it in a year, got it 5 years ago and watch it every so often.

From what I remember, it is very visually entertaining but confusing. This is just going off by vague memory though.

It's sort of a spiritual sequel to The Dark Crystal. Though The Dark Crystal has aged better.
