>After wrapping principal photography in October and several months of post-production work, the DC superhero team-up blockbuster is currently undergoing additional reshoots to get the footage needed for the final product. Recently leaked set photos have helped give some context to what scenes those reshoots are covering.

>Two photos from the set in Befordshire, England confirm that the production team are shooting scenes in the Caped Crusader’s city. The first photo shows a metallic grim reaper gargoyle statue holding a shield reading, “To Protect and To Serve”. We’ve already seen Batman on top of a similar looking statue back in the Justice League official trailer. The second photo is an up-close look at a Gotham City taxi. With confirmations that Ben Affleck is currently in England, it seems likely that he is there to shoot the scenes teased here.

>This is the second set of leaked photos from the reshoot set of Justice League in as many days, as yesterday we got a look at what appears to be German war planes wrapped hidden under a sheet. Speculation on those pictures seem to imply that the film will be flashing back to Wonder Woman’s past at some point, but with Justice League currently sharing a production stage with Tim Burton’s live-action Dumbo remake, it’s unclear for which movie those props were being used.

>The film is currently in the hands of The Avengers’s director Joss Whedon, after Zack Snyder had to step away from the project due to a personal tragedy in his family. With a November 17th release date, Snyder gave Warner Brothers plenty of time to finish the film without him, and Whedon may be the most-qualified director to take over a massive superhero team-up under such circumstances. Reshoots are common practice for major films, and necessary for the movie to reach its release date.

>more reshoots

Seems Wonder Woman got lucky, this turkey is finished

Whedon is taking over

If you had told me 10 years ago that the same director would make an avengers movie and a justice league movie, I'd have called you crazy.

Whedon has made some good stuff but the project has clearly been troubled, along with the bad track record of the DC universe movies. And Whedon's last big superhero project Avengers 2 was honestly not that great. The first avengers was amazing, the second one not so much.

This thing was always going to be avengers 2.0, it looks like a carbon copy of it

Wonder how they'll hide that Ben's gone from fit as fuck to a fat bastard between scenes

>And since then, marvel has figured this weird way of making serviceable movies by taking the lessons of that last act and working backward to emulate it at all times, but not doing the real work that gets you there. Meaning it has become the studio's weird quest to remove the 'bad scenes" aka the scenes audiences don't "Like" and as such it has indoctrinated one of the weirdest working modus operandis hulk can think of. This is the genuine process btw: they put together inoffensive character-centric scripts where no one sees the huge story problems on the page (people are bad at reading scripts across the board). They hire great actors. They put action scenes into second unit hands. They shoot the sucker then get into the edit. And because people are better with seeing movies then they are at reading scripts, they then realize the story doesn't work. So they re-shoot half the movie (this is all planned beforehand) and include a lot of the stuff they thought they needed in the first place to make it work. They then tailor the final product to be as round and safe as possible. The movie is then greeted with either with a shrug or a hearty laugh and a slow slide into forgetting.

>The first avengers was amazing
A lot of what it was built on what came before and expectations for future films.
Having only seen it twice, the second viewing felt a lot more lukewarm and unnecessary. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Whedon, It's rather that he'd be way more at home taking over the tv-verse of either companies because, while he's great with characters, he lacks all cinematic flare.

Not just Disney.
Reshoots and/or additional scenes/touch ups are pretty much standard procedure with almost every film ever made, even low budget indie stuff. It's just they make for easy clickbait speculation with large calibre projects.

Ironically he hates The Punisher and probably hates a lot of what makes most of those Netflix shows so good. Funnily enough they look more cinematic than Avengers.

I honestly don't know what misfired in your brain trying to connect your capeshitwar dots, but for someone who occupies a Television & Film board you seem awfully ignorant on what goes into actually making these things.
