He said that super crazy shit because he was angry about not making more on the bet? Tony was just never even half that much of an asshole, not even when fighting with Janet. There was always a certain amount of *reason* for Tony being an asshole before, and it roughly correlated with how much of an asshole he reacted like, but not here.

The ep in general was bad too, especially given how good S6 is. It's just

with little characterization that moves the series forward, punctuated by this bizarre fight that doesn't make great sense.

From episode one Tony rationalizes his loan sharking/gambling business like his father taught him, gamblers are pathetic people. It's okay to gamble, as most mobsters do, it's part of the life, but to be a "degenerate fucking gambler" is supposedly beyond Tony.

Yet in that episode he uses the gambler's fallacy multiple times; letting a bet ride at roulette, betting on a horse named after his daughter, and even saying "With how much I've lost, I have to win. I'm up!"
