Some say they are crippled, I say that they are upgraded. They are less of a filthy meatbags now and more pure steel and wire.

I've always thought it was pretty amazing that we can replace pretty much any part of the human body but the brain and spine/nervous system.
>artificial arms, legs, lungs, heart, kidneys, digestive tract, liver
Switching your fleshy, dying parts with new artificial ones might become a serious trend when we get far enough into the future.

>cutting-edge prosthetic is worse than furries
look, we're not going to be adam jensen in 2027 or 2127, but there's no reason to believe that bionics will not surpass the capabilities of organic bodies. the most radical superman shit will be reserved for people who have radical conversions, like upwards of 95%. but even amputees will benefit. it's in it's infancy today and it's already quite workable, just youtube it.

It can go two ways. For everyone already born and the soon to be born, cybernetics will be the most accessible option. But I think the real future is in using CRISPR/Cas9 to perfect human genetic code. It could easily be used to remove harmful genetic code in utero and lead to low-cost, genetically healthy designer babies. the human race will be stronger, smarter, more beautiful and capable as a whole if humans take charge of their genetic destiny.

there will always be room for cybernetics, i think regenerative medicine has a long ways to go. at least prosthetics are proven.

Not going to happen. Like never ever.

Moralfags will never allow it.

idk, atheism is seeing an uptick in numbers. normies are in the church of I Fucking Love Science. as they begin to become stewards of the biomedical industry, I think we'll see a strong push to keep these technologies open-source and free for people to opt in to. as long as they're not regulated into nonexistence there's no way to stop it. it's just too affordable; this will bear fruit for not just the super rich but anyone living in the first world.

No, but at this point they might as well greenlight it and fast-track it into production. It wouldn't be any better or worse than the Emoji movie.

Actually, thinking about vidya for a bit, it's impressive how much Nintendo has clamped down on the film rights to their shit. You know if Sony owned Nintendo's IP we'd already be on the 3rd entry of the Wii Music film trilogy.

Why are Miis so much better that Xobx avatars? I can't quite place my finger on it, outside of the MS stealing the idea.

They're cuter. They look more cartoon-y, more genuine, and more simplified. Whereas Xbox avatars look like something an American in a business suit drew up.

You can't get past the "avatars copied miis" thing because it's central to why they look bad. The aesthetic is similar to someone on deviantart trying to draw in an anime style.
>>
>>83912720
Miis are cartoonish depictions of people

Xbox just ripped them off but being the retards they are said "we'll make them betterer by making them more realistic" and they sit awkardly in between a cartoon with an egg for a head and a realistic depiction of a human

Is about how much information you can store and retrieve. Cyberpunk artificial limbs are an engineering and biological interface problem.

Its far more likely biotechnology will be able to regrow limbs and organs before we get ninja cyborg bodies.
You will however be able to pilot drones with your brain and vr goggles.
