DC's business model is to cut out vital parts of the plot so that fanboys are obligated to buy the extended cut. Snyder's been pulling this con since Watchmen.
Since the extended cut is the movie in its entirety, you'll probably like it a lot better.

It won't change your mind about BvS, but it did address one qualm I had: which was Clark Kent's civilian persona virtually being nonexistent. In this cut we see more of him being a journalist, which leads more towards his distrust and dislike of Batman.

Other than that it's just more of the same. The Lois Lane tracks down a Bullet plot was drawn out too long.
