Two words...Lovecraftian kino

It was fine for what it was, which is a fairly by the numbers Carpenter/Fulci homage. Tonally and visually they did well. Other than that I really can't speak to it as it's fairly forgettable.

Was decent when it was just fear of the cultists

When it went into the basement it fell apart, in what should have been its strongest act. There were a few kino scenes, like the room after the 'birth' and the room with all the failures in it - but everything after muhh grand bad guy speech and the chase from the monster was terrible

I liked the end when they were in the final room and the cultists turned into abominations. Its not bad, not great but not bad.
