identify a movie by its plot - help?

my dad told me about a movie starring laurence fishburne and ben affleck, but i can't find anything related to what he told me. do you know what movie he was talking about
apparently the plot goes as follows
>ben affleck is a rich lawyer who did some shady deal with a dying man's will or something
>laurence fishburne is some divorced poorfag
>they get into a traffic accident which causes them both to be late to their respective appointments that day
>fishburne loses custody of his kids
>affleck is in danger of losing a case (??)
>affleck proceeds to fucking ruin fishburne's life by blocking his credit, preventing him from seeing his kids, etc
>in the end affleck regrets it and has fishburne's wife and kids return to him

also i guess ITT we help anons find movies they only vaguely remember the plot of.
