-Howard wants Chuck to resign the firm, as the insurance rates of EVERY lawyer and representative of HHM will more than double due to Chuck's recent outburst at the New Mexico Bar. This is a major betrayal as partners to Chuck, who is now suing Howard for the company back. (Howard didn't start the company; Chuck and Howard's dad did when Howard was still a child)

-Kim was in a major car accident due to overworking and falling asleep at the wheel. She was able to get out of the vehicle but she is injured and likely surviving on adrenaline at the moment. All her work for the new oil company is scattered in the wind, unusable. Her future with Mesa Verde might be explicitly affected. Hopefully they are more concerned with her health. Thank god she didn't have a shot of that tequila with Jimmy. imagine if she'd gotten a DUI. Vince spared us that pain.

Something will happen, but all the action will be in the middle and will setup the end of the episode setting up the next season.
If chuck dies we won't see it actually happen until the premiere of the next season.

That's actually decent storytelling, just throwing a plot element in to keep things interesting and finding a way to use it. Lots of famous authors have done that in their series.

Jesse's family did get pushed to the side a bit I'll admit, but they only got five seasons for what probably could have used seven or eight to tell the whole story, and part of the appeal of the series was showing the way things are sometimes left broken and unresolved by crime and traumatic events. Remember that kid Todd shot? You never even find out whose kid it was. Nobody really gets what they deserve in the end, exactly. Hank didn't do anything worthy of dying for but he still did. Marie is just left hanging. It's a mess.

Jesse's family did get a resolution episode with them finding the pot and him taking the hit for his little bro and giving up his parents' love forever (apparently). Being a man for once and making up for what he's done to the family specifically in some small way. I agree it was rushed though.

Kim gets arrested for snapping and slapping a cop who called an ambulance against her will and loses Mesa Verde and Gatwood because of it.

Jimmy tries to say it's alright since he has enough money to fight the case for months, or years while sustaining them both.

Howard meets with Chuck at HHM and has everyone keep the lights on and cell phones in their pocket since Chuck said he was better. As the meeting goes on, he gets visibly more angry and shouts off Howard before passing out.

Nacho's dad goes off on Hector, and Hector gets so angry he has a heart attack. While he's in the hospital, he orders the twins to kill Nacho's since he blames him for what happened. Shortly after they leave he has complications and the nurses rush in.
Nacho goes to his Dad's house to try to make up for what happened, and notices he's dead. Enraged, he storms out of the house and starts his car.

He shows up at the Los Pollos restaurant and says he'll finish off Hector. Gus instead tells him he has the man to do it, and Nacho needs to distract the twins so he can go the hospital. Nacho calls the twins and tells them he wants to meet them.

When the twins show up, Nacho has left a note explaining that they took away the only family he had, so he'll take away the only family they have left. They rush back to their car and drive to the hospital.

Mike shows up at Hector's room and solemnly unplugs Hector from life support while he's asleep. He leaves the hospital and begins walking outside when he sees the twins rush in, who were too worried to notice.

Chuck is in the hospital again and Jimmy, being his legal guardian, lets him get sent to a mental institution. Kim finds out and says she wants nothing to do with him.

Season ends with Jimmy sitting in his office while spinning Marco's ring on his finger. Cuts to a flashback of Jimmy and Kim when they were younger saying, "we'll be friends forever".
