well, i just watched this movie for the first time and i had the impression it was not just a fictional story. i think it was more a complaint about how to be successful in hollywood. is this accurate?
Polanski made it, doubt he was making a complaint.
It's based on a book, so... no. It's pretty close to the source material. If it was like The Shinning compared to the novel, you might have a point. But you don't.
I thought it was more about how some women are mistreated by their spouses
Her husband never actually cares how she feels, and she's always ignored by even her friends.
You might be onto something, though, but you're gonna have to back it up a bit more.
besides rosemary's baby, the pianist and chinatown, what else by polanski can be considered as a kino?
