The first half is kino.
Weren't there already like 2 Hellraiser movies set in space when this came out?

Well, i think people like to say it's good because of the first half...but it doesn't really lead up to anything. Like many sci-fi films, you're just there thinking it could have been a great movie but somewhere in the story, they just gave up and decided to half ass it.

Because you don't need eyes to see.
Interesting premise
Good gore
Some nice science
It was goofy too often though.
>asking why people like cult films
Anyway, atmosphere is great, ship interior gets a bit cheesy at times with the literal meat-grinder tunnel and all but that's what makes it endearing; concept of going to another dimension and it's fucking hell is cool and a rarely used idea in sci-fi, though I'm guessing it was stolen from somewhere (bla bla Warhammer). Though I guess it essentially is just a more 'scientific' Galaxy of Terror
Dead Space is awesome that's why

Always double check your posts kids
If you look at the design of the engine it's already some sort of hell machine.
Instead of slowly turning Sam Neil crazy they should have slowly revealed that he was always crazy.
>shit jump scares
>warhammer 40k mythology
>assuming there's a sequel
