I watched the second one recently after seeing the first ages ago and I was disgusted with myself for watching what was basically horrible porn. I figure the same thing will happen if i watch the third but im feeling some awful temptation to watch it.

That's what i found interesting about the whole saga, and mostly because of that german actor.
His acting is very intense, you think he is actually crazy as a person.
The films themselves don't have much to offer apart from that.

The third one is awful.

I mean, they're all awful, but the first two at least have value.

The first one more or less was made because of its ridiculous fucking premise, and wasn't a good movie per se, but at least it delivered on that front.

The second one is basically horror/torture porn meant solely to push the boudaries of good taste, which it accomplished.

The third one is just shit. The only value these movies have is shock, and the second one was worlds more fucked up, so there really is no reason for this movie to exist. The german guy from the first one plays a new role and quite frankly I don't know anyone who was able to understand more than 50% of the words he was saying without subtitles. Also, he pretty much just shouts the entire movie, and it gets old fast.

There is a scene in which the warden gets stabbed and then an inmate fucks the wound while he's alive thats pretty fucking metal, but otherwise it was just a waste of time.
