The only problem with the first episode is the ending escape sequence is a bit clowny. But, yes, it does get better, but nothing is ever perfect. Easily the best and only good super hero television show.

They really blew their creative load for the first episode and everything after is a rehash of it.

Not really, altough episode 6 and 7 are better, but if it helps it doesn't dive in quality neither.

Honest answer no. Don't get me wrong, I liked the whole show, but episode one literally left me feeling light headed and spun out after.
