I haven't talked to my dad in five years too. He's a lying scumbag that used me to extort money from my mom (yeah, they were in one of those few marriages where the wife made more than him, and he took all he could in alimony).

When I'm distressed, though, I go to him as sort of an anchor to comfort me. It's awful, but you can't change thoughts like that.

When I was a kid he used to shave me, cut my nails, trim my pubes, pop pimples on my face and back, and would smell my penis to make sure it smelled nice, and beat me when I would deny him. Also he was great at sports, so he always resented me being a fat autist who sucked at every one.
