I see this ranked among the best shows of all time on peoples lists. Does it still hold up if you try and watch it today?

I watched reruns of the show as a kid, but I don't remember much about it other than all the pop culture references from over the years

I personally love it. At midnight on Space in Canada they play two episodes in a row during weekdays.

I prefer the 80s and 2000s seasons than the 60s ones.

I LOVED the episode about the alien who wants an ending to his favorite tv show. I used to watch it all the time.

Distant Signals was the title. It was just so comfy.

Truth be told for every superb Twilight Zone episode, there's 5 bad ones that are dull as watching paint dry. At it's best, it was legendary in both sci fi and horror, coining many if not most of the tropes used in both genres today. At it's worst, it was like Leave it to Beaver where some weird shit happens.

If they were all as good as the apocalyptic one with the nerd in the library or the one about the pioneer that timewarps into the 50s, this would be the best show ever made. BUT you can't forget that for every gem there was 5 turds.

I hate it when idiot normies say "oooh remember that Simpsons episode where" and say the plot of a Twilight Zone Episode, as if the Simpsons were so great for having such interesting weird plots in their Halloween episodes.

Not the same guy but I'll expand on this. Almost every episode had a different writer so it was a mixed bag from the beginning.
