Been calling this for a while now. It's just gonna be a reshoot of Empire the same way TFA was a reshoot of ANH.

They could make it great if Rey turns to the dark side by defeating Kylo in front of Snoke. Then Kylo would join the rebels/resistance for redemption.

Plus doing that would at least make the Mary Sue-ness of TFA less awful.

But they won't because the new fan base wouldn't be able to handle any interesting character arcs or female villains or redemption of evil characters.
