I don't know why people are drawing attention to this "Sonny Jim blinking backwards" business.

First of all, it's a one second shot. The fact that it's backwards at all is debatable as he starts the shot looking down (eyes almost closed), then looks up and blinks quickly.

Secondly, we've never seen anyone do anything in reverse outside of the Lodge except Booper saying "yrev" to Gordon, which makes sense because he is actually a confirmed resident of the Lodge.
