Actually the conspiracy sounds more realistic then the traditional super secret organization. I'm pretty sure they'll go in to more details about it in season 2

During one episode they go all muh refugees and the guy chooses the best for the country and what the people want (refuse them) rather than what his lawyer wife wants (accept them) and she gets upset at him for being the president and not her husband first. That's the only one I can remember but to me the show was just bland and boring, especially the characters. I just couldn't be bothered to watch it anymore.
