It doesnt. I'm just glad it ended as a lovestory. I'm usually not into lovestories but after everything that happened, and the usual shenanigans in todays shows, it was good to have a comfortable ending again.
Also, holy shit Christopher Eccleston was brilliant in this show. Matt wasn't my favorite character, but Christopher certainy my favorite actor on the show.
