So this F13 remake is genuinely good. I'm really enjoying it, the kills are fun, Jason has a damned strong presence on screen. Weakest things are that the characters feel too self-aware and obvious. I like that Jason is using tunnels, it's a nice way to have a reason for him appearing everywhere.

The 1 remake had an alright opening that shows more of Micheals life before becoming a killer, giving a glimpse into why Micheal is the way he is. But the second half is absolute shit.

In terms of the first move you'll either like the parts with Micheal as a kid and hate the second half, or you'll just hated the whole fucking thing.

Because these kids keep wanting to Marathon them, and there is no need to do that with these movies. It took me years to watch them all, renting one at the video store or catching them on tv was how we saw them for the most part.

I'm a huge fan of the movies and I don't think I could Marathon them all at once, or even within a week. I started watching them again recently and got through 2 or 3 movies before switching to sleep away camp for a change of pace.

If you figure the average movie is 90 minutes and there is 12 movies, that's pretty much the same movie over and over again for 18 hours.

Halloween and Friday the 13th were never supposed to be about Micheal or Jason. They were both supposed to be series that each movie was supposed to just be about spoopy things happening on their respective dates. It was the studios that forced the movies to base around these characters.

Halloween 3 was proof Halloween should have stuck with this concept: 4, 5, and 6 are proof of that. That's part of the Freddy vs Jason cannon.

The the real cannon he was swimming and drown while 2 counselors we're banging.

Theoretically that could tie into the regular cannon but F vs J seemed to tweak the back story to make Jason seem like some half retarded deformed freak child you should feel bad for.

Also Freddy being a dream manipulator we can't take Jason's dreams in F v J as absolute fact. Freddy was trying to fill him with fear and anger so he could have changed things as he saw fit to achieve his goal.

Therefore anything added to the series should be taken with a grain of salt, because freddy by nature is manipulating so much you can't tell what's real and what's fake.

Yeah a lot of people forget that the original theatrical version of Halloween never introduced any kind of relationship between Laurie and Michael. Making her his sister in the sequel was a bit of an asspull.
