What do you think of Wes Anderson's films?
Every Wes Anderson movie is White People Problems: The Movie
who was in the wrong here?

In time, you'll join us in the sun.
Love the settings, hates the characters.
>>83728069
I wish I could marry his movies
all his characters are the same but his movies are visually interesting and the comedy usually always works. I like his animated stuff.
>>83728111
which wes anderson movie features coal miners that have to crawl 2 miles to reach the mine?
or soldiers that gave their lives by the millions in war?
>>83728069
if his movies were a girl I would want to hold her hand
>>83728201
Are you looking forward to isle of dogs
>>83728229
For sure! I don't know much about it but I'll see it for the visuals, if anything. I fucking love stop motion.
>>83728214
>tfw no qt gf to get comfy with and watch Wes kino
>>83728111
literally none of them are about problems, they're about relationships
>>83728111
Embarrassing
>>83728111
I hated just about every character in Rushmore so yeah I agree
They are aesthetically pleasing tho so I enjoy some of them like the one with the furries or the one with the brothers in the train because they're such dumbasses is hilarious
>>83728262
I love stop motion even the lowest form of it, you know they're paying attention if they're making a feautre out of it
FACT
2000s Wes > 1990s Wes > 2010s Wes

I'm annoyed that there are cries of "appropriation" being made
honestly that shit needs to just go away.

>>83728332
I'm annoyed with foreigners making films about cultures they aren't a part of tbqhdesu. Always ends up being cringy
>>83728383
you seem completely mentally healthy just like everyone else who uses the term "white people problems"
Is Wes the most influentual director of 00s just like Refn is the most influentual director of 10s?
>>83728161
>I think they're gonna grow more
Boy did they...
>>83728401
I'm not, they're fucking great.
outsider's perspectives of other people's cultures are great fun to watch, see also: spaghetti westerns
>>83728692
You must be american, that would explain your shallow perception of culture. Locals will always make better kino than a foreigner.
>>83728670
>>83728161
MOOOODS
>>83728722
lmao yeah that's it champ
it's your deep appreciation of culture that has you snubbing literally the greatest movies westerns have to offer
>he fell for the symmetry meme
Look guys, I made the left side of the shot the same as the right! How quirky! And look, I made the camera quiver during a pan, because old cameras used to do that! This means I went to college.
he can fuck right off with his shallow plebian garbage
I love the Resident Evil movies!
>>83728911
You're thinking of Paul W. S. Anderson, friend.
>>83728069
>be autistic about symmetry
>cast picassofu
What did Wes mean by this?
Young, poor, white kids these days can't for an opinion that doesn't immediately disgrace them when they type it.
>>83729525
He's progressed from symmetry to any athesthetically pleasing shots
>>83728069
I love Fantastic Mr Fox, such earnest emotional sincerity, beautiful animation, actually funny jokes, and a fairly original plot with characters that stuck with me and I actually remember. I mean, moonrise kingdom and the Grand Budapest were very good but none of Anderson's other films stuck with me like this one. Perfect all ages film imo.

>>83728069
I enjoy Wes Anderson's films.
>>83728991
But it would be intersting if Wes Anderson did direct a Resident Evil movie.
>>83728111
The Life Aquatic is dope
