I keep watching it but the show has never lived up to the first season.

They should have just treated it like a sitcom or something and have her be veep indefinitely. The show was at its best when the whole cast was centered in her office and went from there.

This show wrote itself into a corner (or, rather, what would have been a logical finale) last season, and now it both makes no sense and has nowhere at all to go.

Come to think of it House of Cards did exactly the same thing.

The Thick of It can keep coming back forever since they can just have new political principals with the same cast of political aids.

the only thing i didn't like about veep was the sappy, totally sincere montage that her daughter did at the end of whatever season about her girlfriend. the show was no stop satire and ridicule and it was jarring to all of a sudden be expected to be subjected to blatant emotional manipulation.

That episode was GOAT, shut your fucking face. It was great because of how it was juxtaposed with the rest of what was happening. The fact that they used shots from angles that weren't even seen in previous episodes (but still from the same scenes) was absolute genius.

They could've done a montage of earlier scenes from the same angles but they didn't. The planning that went into it was fucking brilliant.
