It's not a comedy. It has quite a few comedic moments, but it's a crime drama disguised as a comedy. Look and Lundergaard's breakdown at the end and tell me that's a scene that would appear in any comedy ever.

That's almost on point but I'm not quite sure if it fits the bill completely. Black comedy usually makes light of morbidity and that's not really what Fargo does. Tragic comedy maybe?
