Thoughts on the BBC House of Cards, /tv/?
I quite liked it but you can completely skip the 2nd series & go straight to the third since it's just a remake of part one.
He is a lot more playful & impish in his asides to the audience than the American version which I prefer to Spacey's snarl.
>Third series
>Still using the first series opener
>Bridge still in repair
God damn Francis Urquhart, get your shit together.
Series 1+2 are amazing, 3 lost focus.
I couldn't possibly comment.

Yeah I've noticed that. Also quite a lot of Shakespeare quoting.

>better storyline
>worse directing
Better than the US version which is plagued by atrocious pacing and incomprehensible political jargon.
It actually suffers from some of the same issues as the American version, the only difference is that the Brits had the good sense to end the show before it went completely off the rails. Also, I like that Urquhart seems to have an actual ideology and plan, as opposed to Underwood's "dude I want power and nothing else lmao".
The American version is better in two ways:
>1. Higher stakes: The US presidency is the most powerful office on earth, so as a prize it's worth far more than being PM of Britain
>2. Stamper is terrific

True, but UK Stamper died rather quickly.
I really like Urquhart though, he's a devilish little cunt, but not in the brute way Underwood does it.
