Dredd was cool as fuck, but I think it released before its time. Right now, when people have seen mainstream studio comicbook movies of greater varieties and tones, it could have found much larger viewership. Not to mention kids who grew up with such movies would more likely be of age. A shame it wasn't as successful as it deserved to be.

I hope the show has a lot of the wackiness the movie wasn't able to put in.

I swear to fucking God these redditors need to leave this board right now. I am going to give you the answer pleb: Mad Mad II: The Road Warrior. It is THE best dystopian action movie. There are many more better ones such as Escape from New York, The Running Man, etc. Dredd isn't a bad movie by far but it isn't the best. NOW LEAVE.
