I'm playing him as a defensive tank and having a lot of success. Now that he got the "Cultivating Mass" health perk, he can take a lot of damage. So you can send your Mac in first, and have Dee supercharge your berserker Frank. Super OP strategy

they buffed his strength but nerfed his speed and intelligence

Depends on your build. If you're going for mass cultivation tank Mac you're going to have a lot of trouble with mage class Preacher Cricket players in current meta.

Out Mac is most viable if you put most of your stats into your showtunes tree, other than that you can get by with the Indiana Jones branch of Mass Mac's ability tree if you've got a solid Dee on your team with Insinuation" debuff.

Until there's a patch that fixes Trashman Build Frank's set-ups off of his Can-Throw the McPoyles will forever be Frankfodder. Their AOE debuff and passive damage playstyles means that Frank's Trash-Eat regeneration and his ability to strike with a heavy attack from outside the range of their AOE means he's an instant hard counter to any McPoyle team.
