Get sci-fi short story writers back writing episodes. Hire one time writers who write for good mags, there's more now than ever before. The extended star trek universe is stupid, I really prefered TOS when they only used the politics and aliens as stage pieces for good story telling. Now the aliens and politics prop it up and it fucking sucks dick
