Why haven't you thrown away your old vhs tapes yet?
>>83676534
because even though most of them dont work i feel like i would lose a part of myself and never be able to get it back.
>Even Hitler had a GF
>>83676534
th-th-they are an investment like stocks
Because then I would have to throw out my extensive collection of plastic case Disney movies, like the little mermaid with the dick on the front
>>83676534
why would i do that?
you thought they would be worth some bucks in the future, but no, they're still worthlees space. There's no market for old VHS and there never will
>>83678090
Fuck, I think you might be retarded.
>>83676534
Wish this was your actual photo, need a couple of these.
>>83676534
I still watch mine regularly
>>83678009
solid taste
>>83676534
I don't even know where they are anymore.
>>83678090
Some of mine.

My friend just recently donated all his VHS tapes. He said he'd do it when he replaced them all with DVD or blurays and he did; all except for ONE.
For some odd reason, THIS version of the DVD has scenes that are NOT on any DVD or bluray. it's strange.
>>83680898
err.. version of the VHS I meant.
i threw them all away years ago. like 5 large black trash bags filled with them.
>>83676534
They might appreciate in value some day ;')))
>>83676534
congratulations on owning nothing good, in a dead format
>>83681045
Retard, that's a good chunk of change in that box right there.

>vhs tapes
vhs? Please explain?
too sentimental
Today is actually "National VCR Day" apparently.
Just had to throw out my 32 yr old Panasonic deck that broke. Hopped over to Goodwill and got a Panasonic (built on 9/11/2001 according to the back) that will hopefully last another 30 yrs. Pic related, a few of my tapes.
Btw there is a strange market for cheap VHS, every time I go into a Savers or a Goodwill there's10 people scrounging through every cassette or a dude filling up a shopping cart with tapes. Good cheap way to watch old movies.

If you like zombie flicks you should check out The Video Dead
80's action movies and old cartoons on VHS played on a CRT are just amazing.
>240p
>>83682502
some horror VHS are worth a lot because they werent released on DVD.
>>83683417
i think you mean 175i
I sold mine for 2p each tp Cash Generator years ago
I tried to sell my rare ones, which no one wanted and tossed out all the crap.
>>83680898
can you screen cap some examples?
>>83676534
still have mine.
doubt i'll throw them out anytime soon.
>>83683429
oh yeah there's people that will pay hundreds per tape if its rare stuff but that's a very small online trading market.

The first pressing of the Blazing saddles DVD was a direct theatrical release. since then, the full scenes were added There are five scenes that were shown on other versions that didn't make it:
>When Sheriff Bart is trying to capture Mongo, after he delivers the "CandyGram for Mongo", it then shows a "draw on the dummy sheriff" game that fires a cannon at Mongo, and then a scene Bart convinces Mongo to go diving down a well for Spanish Doubloons and Bart stops pumping air to the diving suit because it's time for his lunch break.
>Bart and Jim run away from Hedley Lamarr and his gang whilst wearing the KKK outfits. They run into some Born-again Christians having a baptism/picnic and join in.
>Lily Von Shtupp (Madeline Kahn) gives a brief spoken introduction to the saloon crowd before beginning her song.
>Governor Le Petomaine (Mel Brooks) arrives in the fake Rock Ridge a few moments before the final showdown, in a stagecoach with a flashing red light on the back, makes a joke about losing the "blue collar vote" and does a skit in the town where he impersonates Harpo Marx.
>When the dynamite fails to explode, Lily Von Schtuup says with some German rambling that it didn't work. When nobody knows what she said the guy that speaks frontier gibberish tries to translate. Those around him hit him with their hats.

Because most VHS tapes have the full screen versions of films and 4:3 is the perfect ratio alive other than Acadamy ratio.
I have about 700 tapes now. Mostly rare demos and straight to tape releases. If you care about film at all, there is a large swath that can only be found on tape and you'd be a fool to discount or negate it.
