I never saw Prometheus. I thought it was cheesy as hell when they showed her tombstone and David talked about how great she was. I though Ridley Scott was giving an awkward send-off to the protagonist of the last movie. Then they showed her exploded corpse and it made me really happy.

Anyone who wanted *more alien* in Prometheus 2 killed the movie

20th century fox and ridely scott got shoock when Prometheus 1 got bad reviews for not being like the other movies

She wasn't exactly a riveting character, so more than her character being jettisoned specifically I'm more annoyed about the Hollywood trend of steering franchises based on actor popularity instead of toning it down and letting it grow mostly organically.

It's cool having David around again, but we got not one but two Fassbenders in this one, one of which is literally the creator of the motherfucking Alien now apparently. He'll probably travel back in time and teach the Predators their culture and battle skills in the next one probably

This would be the only way to redeem the Alien franchise at this point. Make it a canon Alien vs Predator so people will know it's part of the franchise. They just need to accept that the prequels are shit, and roll with it. I just watched Prometheus and Covenant today, and both of them have their head so far up their own ass.
